Oh Stuff and Fluff

In case someone didn't pick up on the above quote it's from Winnie the Pooh, who has an interesting name. Pooh. Which is my daughter favorite medium for painting right now. Which is why my washing machine is full of fluff. Which is also what Hannah Montana is made of, except now she is very shallow, just like in real life.

Translation?

Rita was playing in her bedroom and "painted" several items, including a Hannah Montana pillow which in now defunct thanks to a small hole I didn't know about before it was put into the Washer. Oh well Hannah was overstuffed in the first place.

Both of Us are feeling much better

I apparently dumped too much emotion on my computer on Sunday because the next day it wouldn't wake up or pay attention to me or anything. Didn't even recognize I was there. (or the DVD driver, the CD driver, and the keyboard) Which ended up being a great excuse to have a lousy day. And to top it off one of my kids repeated something that an adult had said to them about how unorganized their Mom was. All I needed. Well on the way to preschool I heard this song that I never really liked all that much but is now one of my "go to" songs. It made me feel much better and I'm ready to take on the world once more. As far as the computer goes, we took the Computer down to our local computer shop and they did some major surgery plus a couple of transplants and our computer is running like new.

See happy endings for both of us.

Hormones are Horrible.

So I came home yesterday from my Mothering Convention feeling great and that I was now armed with everything I needed to conquer my house, kids goals, and that I might actually be a half decent person.

Then I go to church and someone says something that reminds me that I don't really do anything and then someone else says something that makes me realize I'm a horrible person and then before I know it somebody else says stuff TO me that validates all the previous feelings.

Last night I felt like the Queen of the World and tonight I feel like the scum of the earth.

A couple of things

First off I have to tell you about how funny Mister is. Yesterday as we were walking in the store Mister was doing this little rhyme that we all know. "Don't step on a crack or you'll break..." here Mitch looks up at me and says...." hmm, or you'll fall and break YOUR back." It was so cute to see him realize what he was saying.

Second, Chicka had to give a talk this last week in church and she gave a GREAT talk. She did most of the work, I showed how to look up her topic (charity) on the church's website, and Hubby helped he out with how to use quotes but that was it. She gave a really good talk and I was so proud of her. I even recorded it on my MP3 player. If I can find out how to download it to my computer I will.

Successful Mothering is better than Chocolate (maybe)

I have to tell you about this great convention that I go to every year. It's all about how to be a better mom. This convention has helped me out in so many ways and makes me feel like a better mom and not like the loser mom that I usually am. (I am a loser ask my kids) But for any of my friends out there who don't know about this convention please check it out because it is so much fun and I look forward to it every year. Yeah Me I get to have another mom-on-her-own day without any guilt.

Well, Now what?

It's a new are once again I'm trying to be a better person. Shocker huh? Well today I decided that I need to stay on top of the homework thing a better. I can't say which child but one of the kids is missing half of her assignments. YIKES! So with a new school quarter right around the corner we will try to make sure all the kids get everything turned in.

Sometimes I look at my kids and realize my Mom is a saint. She not only let me live but also allowed me to graduate. It takes a immense amount of patience to be a good Mom and I hope some day I can reach that level. But for now I will appreicate what my Mom went through and be grateful for it now since I hated it then.

New Year New Post

Life is going pretty good for our family right now. Outside of the fighting and the crying, I'll say our house is going down in flames soon. Well that might be putting it mildly. Sometimes my kids seem like the best of friends, they were playing happily a few minutes ago, but now that I am at the computer, most of my kids crying. Murphy's Law is NOT my best friend. I really want my kids to be happier and less whiny but moments like this really make me wonder if they will ever survive to their next birthday. My mother-in-law says that's why we celebrate birthdays. To mark that the child lived through another year. Oh that reminds me that I need to do birthdays for two of my girls this year. I hate birthday parties. Well when I started this post I was planning to write a happy, nice, cute post I guess the fighting ruined my attitude.

Stay Happy, sometimes it's the only way to stay sane!
