I have really been enjoying this summer. I'm not sure my kids could say the same. But we are really getting a lot done around my house. Everyone has to pull a bucket of weeds each day and get a room in the house clean. Chicka is old enough now that she sees the benefit of not arguing with me and just gets to work, plus she likes having friends over now that the house is cleaner. (Note I did NOT say clean, I'm not sure how to manage that one.) Munchkin and Mita are still whining and complaining and hoping that I will just forget that I asked them to do something, which unfortunately works half the time. But hey at least it's not most of the time like it used to be! Mister in my opinion isn't old enough to be given a chore blindly. I believe he needs constant guidance so I make him do small chores throughout the day, and he is also really good and getting out of those chores. Rita pretty much gets the run of the land unless my creative juices are flowing and I can think of something that she can do. The down side is that Rita is the ONLY kid who wants a job.
Some day I will look back on all this and miss my cute little children. I have to keep telling myself that or I go crazy. Have a happy day and remember this to shall pass.

Don't forget to do the Dishes
My goal this summer is to have a clean AND organized house. After you stop laughing, I want to read my reasons.
1. Fire Safety Issues - Any nitwit can tell you that if your house is a mess it will go up in flames faster IF a fire starts.
2. DCFS - I'm sure that if a person from the "wondreful" state department had walked into my house this past month I would have ended up the 6o'clock news.
3. Happy Hubby - He loves a clean house ALMOST as much as he loves a good back scratch. Lucky for me it's not reversed.
4. Party House - Hello!? Who want's to have a party in a really gross house? If my kids are always having their friends over HERE than I always know where my kids are at.

Moody is as Moody does
I have been struggling for the past couple of days and I think I know one of the reasons why. There are several reasons but today I'm going to place the blame not on me (because that would be owning my own failure and who does that know a days) but on the book I am reading. It had a very depressing part in the middle like all books seem to need. Our hero must always overcome something dreadful to be a true hero, but I don't like it. My mood this week as really brighten up now that the hero is on to bigger and better things. Any suggestions on books that don't get too depressing in the middle, I'm almost done and want a new book that's not going to drag me through the muck with the hero. Maybe I should read Hubby's Understanding Physics that he's been wanting me to read. Whatever.
