This is hubby writing tonight. After I did a stint helping to put Rita down, I came into the kitchen, and there was Mister, on the bench with his mouth agape, looking straight at me. "DAD!", he said, "DAD, LOOK!". I saw that he was holding a small magnet from the fridge in his hand.
"It's a magnet buddy," I said.
"YEAH!"
"Maybe we should put it back on the fridge Mister."
"ALLYSON PULLED IT OUT OF MY EAR!"
"No way, really?" I replied.
"YEAH! It must have got in my EAR without me even SEEING IT!"
At this point I could hardly contain myself, but managed to tell him that it would probably be a good idea to put it back on the fridge.
And the five year old strikes again.

Humor is a blessing
Yesterday in church we had three baby blessings. They were all so cute! The fun thing was to listen how each of the Dads would bless their child with different gifts or with the same gift, but say it a different way. It reminded me of my own children's blessings. All of our kids but Chicka were blessed with Humor (don't worry Chicka isn't lacking in that area at all) but when we blessed Mister, our Bishop said something to the affect "That Boy won't need any help with Humor, it's built right into the family." I laughed at the statement but I also think that our family is so funny because we are blessed with it. It's something we strive for. My kids LOVE to make their Dad laugh. And can you blame them? I mean how many people laugh like my Hubby. It's a major reason why I fell in love with him in the first place. Besides as Sis. Hinkley said "It's more fun to laugh than cry, Crying gives me a headache."

What to do, What to do?
Chicka as told us for years that we are not allowed move. She says that we are in the perfect neighborhood and that leaving would be really dumb. I happen to agree her, but I'm not the one in charge. So today when she was complaining about how the chores she had to do (clean the toliet) she expressed a desire to have 11 siblings so that the chores could be spread out better. I said "Fine, where are we going to put all of them cause we can't move." She suggested 9 siblings would be enough.
Gotta love kids!

New perspective
This past weekend started just like other weekends with me trying to get the whole family cleaning the whole house, but it ended very different this time. But first let me give you some back history.
I grew up in a messing house. My mom tried hard but, frankly didn't get much help from other members of the household. Me being a major problem. So when I was married and in charge of my own house I knew I was supposed to keep it clean but couldn't really care less if it was. This caused some static in my marriage. Then when we had kids, cleaning rarely happened. I was given and read several different books on cleaning and they all said pretty much the same thing. Be consistent. Something that is not in my nature. Well then I began to notice that when the house was clean I felt out of place. Like the house before wasn't my own. That caused even bigger issues in the marriage department. I told hubby that I don't like a clean house it makes me feel weird. Well hubby really likes a clean house and feel at home in a clean house.
Back to this weekend. Hubby and I cleaned part of our room on Saturday and the kids cleaned their rooms. Well guess what? I like how my room feels. It's nice to be in my room now that part of it is clean. I'm ready to clean the other half. Hubby is ecstatic!!
