After I picked up Mister from school and fed him lunch we had the following conversation.
Mister: I need a haircut Mom, to cut off all my curls.
Me: Why you have great hair with curls?
Mister: I know but when I stand in line the girls keep playing with them that's why I need a new haircut.
Me(trying to keep a straight face): Okay buddy, maybe when Dad gets home.
Fast forward 10 years and I'll be begging him to get a haircut to keep the girls away.

Boys.
So for the past couple of days we have been having some beautiful days with plenty of cloud burst. On the first big cloud burst, Mister runs upstairs looks outside and with a word runs and starts riding his bike up and down the street. WHY? All of my girls were more than happy to stay inside where it was nice and dry but not mister. He had to be out in it and going as fast as he can. There is no "safe riding" in the rain. Strange boy.

Ice Cream's Rite of Passage

I love Ice Cream. What I love even more is to hear the Ice Cream Truck. I can usually place them at three blocks. I can hear it at 5 if the kids aren't being too loud. I believe that buying Ice Cream from the Ice Cream Man is a Rite of Passage. Hubby even lets me buy the kids all the Ice Cream I want. Mainly because the Ice Cream Truck never comes down my street. He will visit the streets above me, to the side of me, and even below me. But he never comes onto my street. That's not true, our first summer here I saw the Ice Cream truck right out front of my house but I had no money. So I went out and told the guy to come back again tomorrow and that I would buy all my kids ice cream if he did. He's never been back since. WHY? I know that it might look like I live on a dead end street but I really don't. I even live in a neighborhood with lots of kids, I prime stop for the Ice Cream truck, but to no avail. I guess I'll just have to go down and buy the Ice Cream for cheaper down at the grocery store. Wish I didn't have to.

Day Off
Has I posted earlier, Hubby has a new calling. And with this calling comes many late nights. Which means that I'm on my own to get the kids to bed on time. And so far that hasn't been going so well. Last night I did better, everyone was in bed before 10pm. Which in turn meant the kids got less sleep. So when I woke up Mister today he rolled over and said that he was going to take day off and then tried to go back to sleep. Wouldn't that be nice.
